Spring Clean Your Eating Habits
With the change of seasons, it is the perfect time to rethink old eating habits, make healthy food swaps and get a fresh start. Say good-bye to winter comfort foods and welcome spring with a fresh new take on food.
1. Make one meal of the day veggie-based, such as a big salad for lunch.
2. Slash the sugar in your daily diet by replacing some of your sweet drinks and sugary snacks.
3. Aim for a variety of foods from each food group. Try to make your plate ½ fruits and vegetables.
4. Start cooking your meals and stop going out. Cooking your own meals gives you control of what foods you put into your body.
